More Than 100 E-Commerce Sites Use ValueCommerce Web Service

TOKYO -- Jan. 9th 2008-

ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers Stock Code: 2491, Chairman & CEO: Brian Nelson, ValueCommerce) is pleased to announce that there were more than 100 e-commerce sites using the ValueCommerce Web Service as of December 31, 2007 and that they had registered product information on over 15 million products by the same date.

ValueCommerce offers ValueCommerce Web Service as an interface allowing e-commerce sites and affiliate partners to exchange product information with each other. It consists of the product database, in which e-commerce sites register products, and the product search application programming interface (API). In the product database system, ValueCommerce adds advertisement codes to product information provided by e-commerce sites and then retains the information as a database. As of December 31, 2007, the database held information on 15.59 million products offered by 101 e-commerce sites. Affiliate partners can either receive product information collectively in a predetermined procedure or directly search the product database using the search API. Search results are provided in extensible markup language (XML) format.
